Hi! Although I studied Pharmacy then Translation, worked as an editor, translator and for over a decade in banking, my passion has always been food, health and wellbeing. One day, I decided that it was time that I started doing what I love, so I retrained as a nutritional therapist at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London. Now, I continue to take training on a regular basis to keep up with the advances in the field of nutrition and functional medicine. I am registered with the British Association for Applied Nutrition & Nutritional Therapy BANT and the Complementary & National Healthcare Council CNHC. I feel an immense privilege and delight in being able to work within a community that shares my beliefs.
I always believed that it is best to take care of the things that you value rather than neglect or break them then try to fix them later, and that philosophy extended all the way to my health. I remember how as a child, I used to marvel at the human body and everything about nature—organisation, order, processes and how everything worked beautifully and harmoniously. Nature became my benchmark and I believed that everything would be fine as long as I did not deviate from nature.
Later on in life, as I gained insight into the lifestyles and cultures of different communities, I was able to observe that those that thrived did so because they were guided by the elements in nature. They respected nature and lived their lives according to her rules. They also used nature’s products to sustain themselves and to heal and treat their people. More importantly, these communities took seriously to resolving any social and psychological imbalances that would compromise their wholeness and their very own survival. Many of today’s ailments are a result of people disconnecting from nature, their community, and especially, with their inner self.
Your Journey Towards Wellness
I love being part of the ‘movement’ of educating people about the benefits of healthy and wholesome living, and empowering them to take control of their health in order to regain the balance that is required to enjoy life the way it is meant to be lived. We are not meant to ‘cope’ with life or deal with pain and discomfort, nor are we meant to mask our symptoms with poor eating habits or lifestyle choices, or take medication which itself would engender a whole host of side effects. Nor are we meant to accept that ailments are a by-product of ageing! We are here to thrive and to fully enjoy our life and live in harmony with our natural world and our environment. I am now living my lifelong dream of helping people like you on your journey towards wellness.
